We would like to offer you a cycling trip around the extremely picturesque Masuria region. It is worth taking this route not only because of the interesting landscape, but also because of the places worth visiting as tourists.

During the tour you will also visit the most important sights of The land of the great Masurian Lakes: Mrągowo, Giżycko Mikołajki, Ruciane-Nida. Escape to Masuria, Poland’s hidden gem, where crystal-clear lakes, endless forests, and charming towns create the perfect getaway. Enjoy your journey by bike, discover the rivers by kayak and simply relax and enjoy breathtaking sunsets. With rich history, cozy guesthouses, and unspoiled nature, Masuria is the ideal destination for adventure seekers and peace lovers alike.

After a day full of activity and excitement, we offer you a rest in comfortable hotels. We planned accommodation in double rooms with bathrooms. The facilities also have space to relax, for example in the garden or by the lake.

Day 1: Warsaw/Gdańsk – Giżycko

Transfer by bus from Gdańsk or Warsaw to Giżycko

Sightseeing of Giżycko on foot or by bike: Boyen Fortress, Water Tower, port, main market

Day 2: Giżycko – Mikołajki, distance approx. 55 km

Ryn – is a small town located in the heart of the Masurian Lake District. It is known for its historic Teutonic castle, which now serves as a hotel and cultural center. Surrounded by lakes and forests, Ryn is a peaceful destination popular for boating, fishing, and relaxing in nature.

Mikołajkiis picturesque town in northeastern Poland, located in the Masurian Lake District. Known as the “Sailing Capital of Poland”, it attracts tourists with its beautiful lakes, charming marina, and water sports. The town is also close to the Masurian Landscape Park, offering scenic nature, forests, and opportunities for biketrips and water sports.

Day 3: Mikołajki – Krutyń, distance approx. 45 km

Day 4: Krutyń – kayaking by the Krutynia River, distance approx. 13 km, during time approx. 3 – 4 h

A kayaking trip on the Krutynia River is one of the most picturesque and relaxing ways to explore the natural beauty of the Masurian Lake Region in northeastern Poland.

The Krutynia is known as one of the most beautiful canoe trails in Europe, offering a peaceful journey through lush forests, crystal-clear waters, and charming villages.

Day 5: Krutyń – Mrągowo, distance approx. 35 km

On this day, the tour leads through the forests of the Masurian Landscape Park north to Mragowo. Along the way you will visit Reserves, lakes and small Masurian villages and towns. There will be time to relax by the water and take an unhurried trip.

Mrągowo  is known for its beautiful natural surroundings, including lakes and forests, as well as its popular summer festivals, such as the Country Music Festival

Day 6: Mrągowo – Kętrzyn, distance approx. 40 km

The Sanctuary of Święta Lipka is a famous Baroque church and pilgrimage site in northern Poland, near Reszel. Built in the 17th century by Jesuits, it is known for its richly decorated interior and beautiful pipe organ with moving figures. The sanctuary attracts many visitors for its religious importance, stunning architecture, and peaceful surroundings.

Reszel is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture, especially the impressive Gothic Reszel Castle built by the Teutonic Knights. The town also features charming old streets, a Gothic church, and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a popular spot for tourists exploring the region.

Kętrzyn – is a small town in the north of Masuria, where you will also find a castle of the Teutonic Order, gothic architecture and a slightly more intimate atmosphere than in visited already sailing towns.

Day 7: Kętrzyn – Giżycko, distance approx. 55 km

Post-German World War II bunkers – The Wolf’s Lair (Wolfsschanze) was Adolf Hitler’s secret military headquarters during World War II, located near Kętrzyn in the forests of northeastern Poland. It was heavily guarded and served as the center of Nazi operations on the Eastern Front. The site is also known for the failed assassination attempt on Hitler in 1944. Today, the ruins are open to visitors and serve as a historical monument.

Sztynort – picturesque village in Masuria, famous for its marina – one of the largest sailing ports in the region. Surrounded by lakes and forests, it is a popular spot for water sports, relaxation, and cultural events. Sztynort is also home to the historic Lehndorff Palace, adding a touch of history and charm to this beautiful place.

Giżycko is one of the largest towns in the region with a strong sailing and military history. It offers such attractions as the 19th century Boyen Fortress, a floating bridge, a large marina with impressive yachts and an observation tower on an old water tower.

Day 8: Giżycko – Warsaw/Gdańsk

Transfer by bus after breakfast to Gdańsk

Optionally sightseeing in Gdansk or Warsaw
