It is secound largest national park in Poland, known for its diverse landscapes. The park is home to many species of plants and animals, including moose, lynx, and beavers and wolfs. It is a popular destination for hiking, cycling, and nature observation. The park plays an important role in protecting natural habitats and is part of the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Programme.
Dunes and marshes
The extraordinary diversity of the park is evident in the terrain of the park. The retreating glacier caused the formation of dunes and marshes were formed in old channels and oxbow lakes. This created two parallel east-west dune belts alternating with two marsh belts. During our tour you will have the opportunity to admire both dunes and marshes.
Palmiry Memorial Site – is a place of remembrance for thousands of Polish civilians and resistance members who were executed there by the Nazis during World War II. The site includes a cemetery and a museum that honors the victims and tells the story of the tragic events. It is a symbol of national memory and a tribute to those who fought and died for Poland.
