The tour will take us through the city, along the Vistula river to Niepolomice Forest. You will know stories about the city, brave Justyna, king Kazimir the Great. You’ll also listen stories from World War II. It is greate occasion to discovering beauty of nature and hopefully observe wild annimals.

The Old Town – here, where history is full of legends and curiosities, there is a vibrant cultural and leisure life with its Christmas markets, festivals and manifestations. The Old Town is also the oldest street in Krakow with finds from 9th c., a place of shelter from the Mongol invasions of the 13th century, but also the most beautiful work of the German artist from the 15th century. The market was also a place of court and execution, which was an example of urban entertainment.
Wawel Hill with the Royal Castle and the Cathedral, the mother of the Polish churches. The magnificence days of the Royal Castle ended with the transfer of the king and court to Warsaw. The historic seat of the kings, and in subsequent centuries, the place of barracking of troops, the residence of German dignitaries during World War II, after many years of renovation, obtained garments from the 16th century- time of splendor and uniqueness.
Kazimierz – a historic district in Cracow, renowned for its vibrant cultural heritage, picturesque streets, and rich history. Once an independent town, it was incorporated into Cracow in the 19th century.
This UNESCO-listed district is famous for being the heart of Jewish culture in Kraków, particularly before World War II, and is now a popular, bohemian neighborhood that attracts both locals and tourists alike. You will see several important Jewish landmarks: Remuh Synagogue and the Old Jewish Cemetery, which dates back to the 16th century. The Isaac Synagogue and the Kupa Synagogue are other significant Jewish sites in the area.
The district is known for its charming, narrow streets, colorful buildings, and beautiful squares, including the bustling Plac Nowy. The area is full of cafes, art galleries, quirky shops, and restaurants, offering a lively, creative atmosphere. Kazimierz is particularly renowned for its vibrant nightlife, with a mix of traditional Polish pubs and trendy bars.
The Vistula Bicycle Route (Wiślana Trasa Rowerowa) is a scenic and diverse cycling trail that stretches along the Vistula River in Poland, connecting the river’s source in the southern part of Poland to the Baltic Sea in the north. This route, which is part of a larger European network of cycling paths, offers cyclists a chance to explore the natural beauty and historical landmarks of the country. It is Poland’s longest river (the route spans over 1,000 kilometers) and an integral part of the country’s cultural and natural heritage.
Riding from Krakow on the Vistula Bicycle Route, you will reach another royal castle in Niepołomice after about 28 km. The Niepołomice Castle is a historic royal residence located in the small town of Niepołomice, south of Kraków, Poland. The castle, originally built in the 14th century, was a favorite hunting lodge of Polish kings, particularly during the reign of Casimir the Great. Over the centuries, it underwent numerous renovations and additions, blending medieval and Renaissance architectural styles.
The Niepołomice castle is well-preserved and offers a glimpse into Poland’s royal past. Visitors can explore its elegant chambers, grand halls, and the beautifully restored interiors, which include exhibitions on the castle’s history, the royal court, and the local region. The surrounding grounds also feature a lovely park with a pond and several walking paths, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and enjoying nature.
Adjacent to the castle lies the Niepołomice Forest (Puszcza Niepołomicka), a vast, ancient woodland that has played a significant role in Polish history. The forest was once a royal hunting ground, and its rich biodiversity and natural beauty continue to attract nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. It is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, wild boar, and numerous bird species, and offers plenty of hiking, cycling, and horseback riding trails.
Niepołomice Forest is a tranquil escape from urban life, with lush greenery, dense trees, and serene landscapes. The forest also has historical and cultural significance, as it has been the site of numerous events and has links to Polish kings and their hunting traditions. Together, the castle and the forest offer a unique combination of history, nature, and Polish royal heritage.
